| John Muir College Activity Fee Referendum: The Giving Fee |
In order to enhance Muir College activities, programs, and student organizations, it is proposed that Muir College students increase the current Muir College Activity Fee. Effective Fall, 2009 an additional $3 per student per quarter will be collected with quarterly fees. These funds will be allocated by the Muir College Council. In addition the fee would increase by $2 every five years (Beginning fall 2014). This increase will terminate following two full terms (10 years).
29% of this fee increase will return to UCSD to help meet the financial aid needs of undergraduate students.
The current Muir College Activity Fee is $7 per student per quarter. Neither the increased nor existing activity fee will be assessed during summer sessions.
