The Associated Students of the University of California, San Diego are the elected and appointed representatives of the UC San Diego student body. The ASUCSD works to promote student engagement through its services and leadership opportunities. The ASUCSD seeks to foster a cohesive community through active interaction and communication with students, the administration, and the greater San Diego Community. Our mission is to facilitate and encourage students to grow and develop through their involvement in student government, its services and auxiliaries. We promote student engagement in all areas of campus life through leadership, advocacy, and service in order to build and strengthen our community.

The office of Associate Vice President of Enterprise and Services is responsible for overseeing the management of A.S. Enterprises including Triton Outfitters, A.S. Soft Reserves, A.S. Lectures Notes, and Senior Memory Book.

In addition the office is responsible for overseeing the management and operation of TTV, KSDT, the Safe Rides program, A.S. Essentials, A.S. Graphic Studio, and other AS services.

The AVP will encourage collaboration between enterprise, services, student orgs, student communities, and AS. The AVP will also be responsible for evaluating each enterprise and services performance, and provides options to improve operations for each.

The AVP will actively seek out new opportunities for the Associated Students to acquire and/or create new enterprises that can better help fund student initiatives.

Candidates applying for the Associate Vice President of Enterprise and Services position should have an understanding of the current AS Enterprises and Services and be knowledgeable about their relationship with Associated Students, the administration, and other groups on campus. Applicants should also have a general knowledge of business and marketing strategies, a general knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis and be well-versed in the student services/commissions.

Due to the timing of AS Elections please expect to receive an email back about the status of your application around Wednesday May 27th and please leave ample availability for interviews through Week 9 and 10.
