About Associated Students

The Associated Students of UC San Diego, ASUCSD, is the representative organization for the entire UC San Diego undergraduate student body. Comprised of elected and appointed members, we work to advocate for our communities, and develop projects and initiatives that aim to provide students with resources, services, and to overall enhance the student experience. 

 

About the AS Senate

The Associated Students Senate is comprised of elected and appointed members that represent our larger UC San Diego communities. Senate is charged with the authority to make resolutions, fund certain allocations, and ultimately advocate for our student body through conversation, debate, etc.

 

General Senator Responsibilities

Expected Weekly Workload: 10 Hours/Week

Stipend: $30/Week

 

  • Report to the DIrector of Programming

  • Assist the Director of Programming in organizing campus-wide engagement events, Triton Dine, and AS social events

  • Organize a calendar of logistics for the event with social media plan, product orders, event, etc.

  • Communicate with the Director of Programming in weekly meetings and professional messaging app to update information

  • They will program events to promote AS and facilitate logistical aspects in programming events such as but not limited to securing event locations, reserving food vendors, and placing product orders with AS faculty. 

  • Attend all Office of Campus Affairs staff meetings, professional development workshops, and additionally mandated commitments
