The Associated Students of the University of California, San Diego, are the elected and appointed representatives of the UC San Diego student body. The ASUCSD works to promote student engagement through its services and leadership opportunities. About the Office of Health & Well-Being
The ASUCSD Office of Health & Well-Being strives to create a happier and healthier student experience through events, projects, programs, and initiatives. The Office of Health and Well-Being promotes a holistic health approach, emphasizing intersectionality and recognizing how the various dimensions of health, well-being, and identity influence one another, ultimately contributing to one’s overall health.
The Office of Health & Well-Being works to bring awareness to and increase the usage of student health resources through survey methods, student participation and involvement, and advocacy for impactful and meaningful change. Topics covered by the Office of Health & Well-Being includes, but are not limited to, insurance plans, student health services, sexual assault and gender-based violence, mental and emotional health, drug and alcohol awareness, education, outreach, and other dimensions of health (physical, social, environmental, occupational, financial, spiritual, intellectual, etc.).
Mental Health Advocate Job Responsibilities
Shall actively communicate with the Office of Health & Well-Being staff members
Shall attend all required Office of Health & Well-Being meetings and professional development workshops
Shall regularly report to the Director of Mental Health Advocacy
Shall consistently work with the Mental Health Advocacy Team to develop events, projects, programs, and initiatives centered around mental health
Shall serve on campus-wide committees as directed by the AVP of Health & Well-Being
Shall strive to create a happier, healthier UCSD
