Jacob Vu

Marshall AS Senator

Hi everyone! My name is Jacob Vu (He|Him|His) and I am proud to serve UCSD as one of your Marshall College Senators. As a senator, it is my job to represent Marshall students on a campus-wide level and advocate for what is important to YOU! In addition, I am also responsible for creating lasting senator projects that positively affect student life at UCSD; some topics that I am most interested in pursuing are sexual education and health, advocating for the arts and humanities, and developing a college-level home-economics course for students. If you are interested in any of these topics or have suggestions of your own, please feel free to reach me at j2vu@ucsd.edu. If you would like to meet in person, Sadaf Rasekh (my co-senator) and I hold open outreach hours every week; check out our Facebook page @marshallcollegesenators for updates on when and where we host them! ... Outside of this role, I am a second-year Visual Arts-Media student and San Diego native! I also enjoy listening to EDM, house, and trap music in my free time and when I am working. Thank you for taking the time to read through this; if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you are always welcome to contact me! ... Additionally, I sit on the following committees: Associated Students (AS) Finance; AS VP of External Affairs Search Committee; Campus-Wide Civic Engagement Committee; Thurgood Marshall College Student Council (TMCSC); TMCSC Finance; Library Student Advisory Committee (2018-19).
