Ben Mendoza joined the professional staff team of ASUCSD in 2017 as the Community Programs Advisor in the Student Promoted Access Center for Education & Service (SPACES). Ben received their Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Seattle University and a Master of Arts in Higher Education Leadership from the School of Leadership and Education Studies at the University of San Diego. Prior to moving to San Diego in 2013 to attend graduate school, they lived in Seattle, Washington for eight years. Ben is passionate about supporting and facilitating leadership and identity development work and advocating for an intersectional approach to justice. Volunteering is another passion of theirs, they currently dedicate their time to work with The Trevor Project, San Diego Pride, and San Diego ComicCon.
