President

  • Gema Hernandez Gutierrez

    Gema Hernandez Gutierrez

    Dear RCC,

I am a third year transfer student at Revelle studying General Biology with a minor in Marine Science. For the past year, I have worked with Revelle Creative as the photography intern, which has given me the opportunity to participate in and support several Revelle events. Through these experiences, I have truly come to appreciate the vibrant and diverse community at Revelle College and the ongoing work of our Revelle College Council student leaders and Revelle student groups. If elected as RCC President, my goal will be to foster inclusivity and a stronger sense of belonging within our community. My hope is to help revitalize student engagement by hosting forums, town halls, programs, and impactful initiatives that encourage meaningful interactions and strengthen connections among Revelle students. I believe it is important to create safe and respectful spaces where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas and perspectives, especially with their college council representatives. In addition, I am passionate about encouraging students to recognize their potential and supporting them in pursuing their passions during their time at Revelle College

  • Isaac Rodriguez

    Isaac Rodriguez

My Name is Isaac Hugo Rodriguez, and I am writing this with the purpose of becoming your President of Revelle College Council.

For the past three years, I have had the privilege alongside the leaders of Revelle. When I was an Orientation Leader, I had the opportunity to become a first friend for many of you. Whilst in College Council, I was able to work behind the scenes to shape the programs that advocated for our academics and social well-being. From the time I learned what leadership truly means. It is not about standing above others, but standing with them.

Presidency should not be a title of power, but a position that shoulders responsibility. It is the responsibility to ensure that Revelle’s student leaders have the ability to truly advocate for Revelle. To strengthen collaboration within our colleges and student resources. To uphold sustainable practices that will be created for us and those after our time.

However, to create this, I understand that transparency must be my foundation. There are students within Revelle who feel alienated because of their majors, students who feel unsafe in today’s political climate, and those who feel overwhelmed by the weight of the college experience. To that, I say I see you, I hear you, and I will do my best to make sure your voice is not silenced. I do recognize my own limitations for there will be perspectives I may not immediately understand. But from what I have been taught, true leadership is not pretending to know everything, it is creating that space to listen and learn. As your president, I will work to ensure every voice in Revelle is heard, amplified through our student leaders, and turned into action.

If entrusted with this privilege, I will pursue initiatives that will strengthen our student body and the relationship of Revelle as a whole. This will include aligning our student fees with those of our other colleges to expand funding for advocacy and establishing a return-to-student-aid program that will directly support students in Financial need. I will prioritize your financial, mental, physical, and social well-being for Revelle has and always will be my priority.

One individual does not define Revelle, it is defined by all of us who choose to grow together. If granted the opportunity to be your president, there’s nothing that will stop me from accomplishing that.

Vice President Administration

  • Savannah Wang

    Savannah Wang

Hi, my name is Savannah, and as your Vice President of Administration, I want to show up for you with sincerity, accountability, and visibility (or SAV).

Sincerity means being genuine and thoughtful in everything I do, not just checking off responsibilities but truly caring about the impact of my work. It means listening with intention, communicating honestly, and making decisions that reflect the needs and voice of our community.

Accountability means taking full responsibility for my role and stepping up when more needs to be done. If something needs to be done, it will get done.  If there are challenges, I will face them directly and work towards solutions.

And visibility means making sure Revelle College Council feels accessible and transparent, while creating more opportunities for students beyond Revelle Student Organizations to get involved and stay informed about what your student government is doing. Your student government should never feel distant or unclear.

You deserve leadership that is present, honest, and committed, and that’s exactly what I hope to bring.

Vice President Finance

  • Dominic Hernandez De Loa

    Dominic Hernandez De Loa

My name is Dominic Hernandez De Loa, and I am running to serve as your Vice President of Finance for the Revelle College Council. As students at UC San Diego, many of us face the constant challenge of balancing tuition, housing, and everyday expenses while trying to focus on our education.

Financial stress is something that affects a large portion of our student body, and I believe the role of Vice President of Finance should do more than simply manage council funds behind the scenes. It should actively work to support students and ensure that our money is being used in ways that benefit the Revelle community.

If elected, my mission is to increase financial transparency and expand financial resources available to Revelle students. At a billion-dollar institution like UC San Diego, students deserve to know how their fees are being used. I will work to provide clear, accessible monthly budget breakdowns, including visual charts that show how funds from the Revelle College Council and affiliated organizations are being allocated. By making this information readily available, students will have a better understanding of where their money is going and how it supports events, programs, and services within our college.

In addition to increasing transparency, I want to help reduce financial burdens wherever possible. One initiative I plan to implement is a monthly scholarship update, where I will gather and distribute a list of scholarships available to Revelle students. Many scholarships go unnoticed simply because students are unaware they exist, and providing consistent updates can help students access opportunities that ease the cost of their education.

I also hope to explore partnerships with local housing communities, hotels, and nearby neighborhoods to identify potential ways to secure more affordable housing options for commuting students.

My goal as Vice President of Finance is simple: to advocate for responsible financial management, increase transparency, and work toward putting money back in the pockets of Revelle students.

Vice President Internal

  • Stephanie Venegas Solorio

    Stephanie Venegas Solorio

The Vice President - Internal stands as a pillar for impartial perspectives, support, and guidance, establishing and reinforcing the relationships between members and themselves by creating a space where members feel supported and included by the entire council. As VPI, I will hold myself to this expectation, from a member’s first interview until the end of their term.

My top priority both within my time in RCC and as a previous orientation leader has been to ensure that I provide an inclusive and safe environment for all students, and this begins with the interviewing process. When applications from candidates start to come in, the VPI must uphold an unbiased perspective and relay that same standard to the Internal Committee. As a previous member of this committee during the interviewing and appointment process, I will make sure that the questions asked in the application are able to paint the most accurate picture of our candidates whilst maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. This will allow the committee to give unbiased opinions whilst also selecting students who will represent the Revelle student body wholeheartedly and will create tight-knit relationships with each other.

Being that pillar of support, the VPI is to connect with every member and establish a relationship where the member feels safe and supported if any personal or in-council issues arise. For the past two years, I have been able to stand as that pillar for new Revelle students as an orientation leader and I intend to keep creating those connections with the council, but also establish connections between members as well whether it be during the retreat, or outside bonding opportunities.I will also hold office hours for members not only so that they can connect with me, but also to have a space where they are able to share frustrations, any issues they may have in their personal or professional lives, and give advice or support them in any way they need. During my time as Director of Student Services, I was able to create a similar space with my own office hours and be a resource for students by either guiding them to services on campus that may help them or being a shoulder to cry on.

I will stand for the members. For their well beings and passions, be their resource and morale-booster, but also build an environment where they can do the same for each other.

  • Kate Wang

    Kate Wang

To attend a college is one thing, but to find belonging in a community that challenges, supports, and inspires you is something else entirely. That is what Revelle has been for me—and what I hope it is, or can be for you.

My name is Kate Wang (she/her/hers), a Neurobiology major and Literary Arts minor from Toronto, Canada, and I’m running to serve as your Vice President Internal. As a first-year international student, I’ve witnessed firsthand how our sense of belonging is constructed through advocacy initiatives, student programming, or even simple human interaction. From a smile in the hallway to traditions like UnOlympics, to events like Toothless Takeover, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing what it means to both help create that sense of community and be part of it. Through my involvement in Weeks of Welcome and Revelle College Council, I’ve seen how much thoughtful coordination and intentional communication go into building the experiences that bring Revelle together. It’s work that often happens quietly, but it’s part of what keeps Revelle thriving.

These roles also highlighted the importance of uplifting the people behind the scenes. If elected, I can promise that I will be there—to support the council that serves our community and the organizations that make our college special. Of course, this same sense of service extends to each and every one of you (yes, you!).

As your Vice President Internal, I hope to foster stronger relationships across our community, both within and beyond RCC. One initiative I’d love to pursue would be a Revelle Organizations Retreat, which would provide student leaders and programmers with a space to connect, collaborate, and build relationships that strengthen our collective impact. Drawing upon my previous experiences coordinating programs and working with student leaders, I look forward to facilitating an environment conducive to clear communication, efficient organization, and thoughtful advocacy. Student voices should always be at the heart of the work we do, and I’m committed to making sure they remain there. Your council is here to represent, serve, and support you, so it is my every intention to build a diverse and inclusive council that will listen to you and fight for you, every step of the way.

The opportunity to serve you would be a privilege, Revelle, and it wouldn’t be one that I take lightly.

Vice President External

  • Brianna Ton

    Brianna Ton

My name is Brianna Ton, and as a dedicated Second Year and former Orientation Leader, my commitment to Revelle College stems from a passion for our community. Having served on Revelle College Council for the past two years, I possess an understanding of how our student government functions and, more importantly, where we can improve. I am running for Vice President External because I believe that our council should not just exist for the students, but actively live and breathe alongside them. My mission is to transform our external presence into a platform that makes every Revellian feel heard, informed, and truly connected to the "First and Finest" spirit.

As your VPE, I will use my creative background to revolutionize our digital identity. I want more than flyers, I want to produce engaging, aesthetic, and high quality content that makes RCC the most followed and active college council at UCSD. I am committed to a level of consistency that ensures no student ever feels out of the loop. By utilizing my eye for design and digital storytelling, I plan to pull back the curtain on RCC operations, providing insight into how we represent you. I also want to use our platform to spotlight the incredible talent within our college, from highlighting Revelle-based small businesses to shouting out student organizations that deserve more recognition.

Beyond social media engagement, I aim to turn our platforms into an important toolkit for student success. Many of the incredible resources offered by Revelle and UCSD go unused simply because students aren't aware of them. I will bridge this gap by creatively packaging academic, wellness, and professional resources in a way that is accessible and visually engaging. With two years of council experience and the perspective of an Orientation Leader, I have the knowledge and the creative drive to lead with transparency.

Director of Student Services

  • Ammarah Zainab

    Ammarah Zainab

I am Ammarah Zainab and I am running for the position of Director of Student Services at Revelle College Council. I am currently a third year who has been a voting member of the Revelle College Council as a Third Year Representative. With this position I have the understanding of what third year Revelle students need but now I aim to help all of the Revelle student population. I have been a part of events in which we have served the student population by giving them resources and blue books that they need to help succeed in their academic journey in UCSD. As the Director of Student Services, I aim to make the HUM book lending program, in which we rent out required reading books for the HUM series, more accessible to students as there are many who have no idea whether the program is at their disposal. I would market this event more on social media as many students get all of their information online. Moreover, I would like to create events for students where they can learn how to write professional emails so they can reach out to graduate schools or research labs in a professional manner so they can get access to more extracurriculars at UCSD. Another thing to bring attention to is the mental health of students at UCSD. Revelle students have some of the most difficult GE classes compared to the rest of the colleges on campus. It can get extremely difficult to navigate all of the classes and life on campus especially if you are a freshman, transfer, out of state, international, or a first generation student. I would make a workshop for these students so they can feasibly balance school and life simultaneously in a place that is unfamiliar to them. I would be honored to be the Director of Student Services at Revelle College and serve the student population with equity and give them a space in which they are valued.

Fourth Year Representative

  • Donata Siagian

    Donata Siagian

Revelle’s motto is Purpose, Truth, and Vision. Our final year should bring those words to life.

As Fourth Year Representative, I want to help our graduating class celebrate the identities we have built at UC San Diego while preparing for the futures ahead of us.

    Purpose.

My sense of purpose in student leadership began in Revelle College Council. As International Representative during my second year, I worked closely with ISEO to address both administrative and social challenges faced by international students while also creating spaces for them to connect with both UCSD culture and their own. I also helped draft and advocate for the Sanctuary Campus and Free Discourse Resolution alongside the Associated Students International Representative. The following year, as Vice President Internal of RCC, I focused on supporting our council members through retreats, bonding events, office hours, and improvements to our appointments process and bylaws. These experiences taught me that leadership begins with purpose and with people.

    Truth.

As Head of Public Relations for the Indonesian Student Association at UCSD, I have worked to help students engage honestly with their identities and with global issues that affect our communities. One of the most meaningful moments in this role was helping lead a discussion with the former Indonesian Ambassador to the United States and Vice Foreign Minister of Indonesia about our country’s political history and peace negotiations. That experience showed me the importance of dialogue and advocacy in helping students understand the world around them.

    Vision.

My vision comes from my identity as a student. I am entering my fourth year working in the Azim Lab studying motor control and neurocircuitry, where I have contributed to research involving stereotaxic surgery and now lead a project on spatial organization of motor planning in the cerebellar nuclei. I am also in my second year as an instructional assistant for Human Physiology, where I lead discussions, hold office hours, and support students through challenging material. These roles remind me every day how much students rely on one another to grow.

As Fourth Year Representative, I want to bring Purpose, Truth, and Vision to our graduating class. I hope to create meaningful events that bring friends together one last time, traditions and merchandise that celebrate our Revelle experience, and opportunities that help students prepare for life after UCSD through career resources, graduate school information, and professional preparation. Most importantly, I want our graduation to be a moment every Revelle student remembers with pride.

Second Year Representative

  • Xuanqi Chen

    Xuanqi Chen

Hey Revellians! My name is Xuanqi (Swan) Chen, and I am honored by the opportunity to be elected as your Second Year Representative for the next three quarters.

I often think about what community really means—especially in college, where time flows so quickly it’s easy to feel like you’re just passing through. To me, community is built when we share spaces, share responsibility, and consistently show up for one another. As a member of this community, I want to be there for you to amplify your voice and make you feel supported. Through my involvement in programming within Revelle College Council and partnerships with both on-campus and external organizations, I believe I have developed the experience to serve as a dependable representative.

As your Second Year Representative, I will advocate for programming that answers to your needs and concerns, specifically: Career development, academic guidance, and housing. To achieve this, I will increase the visibility of campus opportunities such as lab openings, internships, and employment. I plan to do this by sending monthly newsletters or social media updates highlighting internships, programs, and upcoming activities. To make it easier for students to access student life resources, I will create a Linktree resource page that compiles important student resources, working directly with campus services to keep the information updated and accessible. By centralizing information, I aim to make resources and information— whether from Council, Revelle, or campus-wide —more accessible to you.

Listening is equally important. As your representative, I’d like to hear your visions for our community. I will host socials and open feedback channels where students can voice their concerns about academics, housing, or student life, ensuring these perspectives are brought directly into council discussions. I also recognize the importance of a healthy work-life balance, and I hope to create more opportunities for students to de-stress through social events and community celebrations that give us space to step back from academic pressure.

I dedicate myself to the motto: actions speak louder than words, and I will do so by remaining amiable, diligent, and open-minded; so let me prove to you where my priorities lie.

Associated Students Senator (2)

  • Tristan Lawton

    Tristan Lawton

My name is Tristan Lawton, and I’d be honored to serve as one of your AS Revelle Senators. When I look at Revelle Plaza, I see students moving around each other, close together but confined to their own paths. In trying to get involved on campus, we often divide ourselves into rigid categories: STEM and non-STEM majors, different colleges, different circles. These labels enrich our campus, but they also create disconnection, making it harder to see how our experiences and interests overlap. As a senator, I will approach every piece of legislation and budget with the intention of bridging the gaps between us. I believe inclusion betters everyone because progress is not zero-sum: one student’s success doesn’t come at another’s expense. Rather, we all thrive by supporting each other across the board and being more flexible with the labels we hold. I’m eager to bring this mindset to every Senate discussion, and will use my position to strengthen belonging and cohesion.
  • Nabeeha Muhammad

    Nabeeha Muhammad

I am running for Revelle College Council as an AS Senator because I believe student government should not just exist, it should work. It should advocate, be proactive, communicate clearly, and deliver tangible results for students. I am ready to bring the experience, energy, and accountability necessary to make that happen.

In my previous roles as Director of Student Services, Director of External Affairs at my community college, I didn't just attend or host meetings, I led initiatives. I worked directly on student advocacy efforts, strengthened civic engagement programs, and built bridges between students and decision-makers. I led a student delegation to advocate for legislation, helped increase voter engagement, and ensured student voices were heard beyond campus. Those experiences taught me how to navigate institutional systems, and, more importantly, how to push them to respond to students' needs.

At Revelle, I will prioritize three things: academic support, student well-being, and transparent communication. Revelle's rigorous academic culture demands strong institutional support, and students deserve accessible resources and clear pathways to succeed. I will work to expand awareness of academic resources, advocate for programming that strengthens community, and create consistent feedback channels so concerns do not go unheard.

Representation should be active, not just all talk. I plan to table at the Revelle plaza to gain student input, maintain visible communication, and ensure students always know what their council is working on. You deserve a senator who shows up prepared, asks hard questions, and follows through.

I am not running for a title, I am running to contribute. Revelle students deserve leadership that is proactive, bold, and accountable. I am ready to put in the work.

I would be honored to earn your vote.

  • Nicole Najera

    Nicole Najera

Hello! My name is Nicole Najera, and I am running to serve as one of Revelle’s Associated Student Senators. As your AS Senator, I am committed to strengthening the connection between Revelle and the broader university community by ensuring that your voices are heard and represented at the university-wide level.

Over the past year, I have served on Revelle College Council as the Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) Representative. In this role, I have gained firsthand experience advocating for student interests and have seen the growing need for stronger outreach and clearer communication, especially when representing Revelle in university-wide decisions. This experience has prepared me to step into the AS Senator role with both insight and dedication.

If elected, my priorities include supporting Revelle’s cultural and ethnic communities by helping organize events that celebrate and uplift them, working with campus police and Revelle Residential Life to address the ongoing issue of e-scooter theft, and advocating for student wellbeing by promoting and expanding access to basic needs and mental health resources. I also want this role to be collaborative and accessible, one that truly reflects the voices, concerns, and ideas of the Revelle student body.

Communication is essential between AS Senators and the students they represent. I plan to increase transparency and awareness of AS initiatives by utilizing social media, newsletters, and creative outreach strategies to ensure students are informed and engaged. Additionally, I will continue supporting and expanding existing AS Senator programs, including community-building events, opportunities to showcase student creativity, and workshops focused on navigating campus resources.

I would be honored to represent Revelle and work toward a more connected, supported, and engaged community.

  • Alex Sullivan

    Alex Sullivan

Hi, my name is Alexandra Sullivan and I would love to serve as one of your AS senators for Revelle. My goal is to make UCSD more approachable in a way that humanizes the undergraduate experience. We’ve been encouraged to uphold constant competition between each other, pushing a cutthroat environment. I will use this position to dim this persistent rat race that we’ve been surrounded by, and open the Revelle body to the true privilege it is to go to school in San Diego. As a STEM major on the pre-med track, I have firsthand experience with the pressure that follows being a Revelle student. It’s extremely difficult to juggle my duties as a student, the responsibility of planning my career, and still find time for my social life. I vow to put my best foot forward in giving Revelle Students just a bit more leniency, allowing us to be kinder to ourselves. I will give students back the freedom of exploration, instead of rigidly defining our students to one path. Given the opportunity, I’m eager to make the Revelle student body seen; the interests of our unique college will be heard campus wide.
