Hi there Warren! I’m Tatiana Valdovinos, your current Warren College Student Council President! Working as your President this year has allowed me to understand what all of you Warrenators want and need. I am dedicated to uplifting the needs and wants of ALL Warren students, making for a more equitable, engaging, and memorable student experience. I am willing to advocate in all student government spaces for my community, and I will ensure that Warren students' voices are continuously amplified. It was my pledge to create a Warren that works for YOU, and by voting Tatiana, you'll be able to see these projects continue to flourish. This year, I'll be committed in continuing to listen to YOUR voice, ensuring I make decisions that are ROOTED in Warren. Let's make Warren College the Warren YOU want. Vote Tatiana to help create a Warren that grows together!

Vice President - Internal

  • Leonardo Molina

    Leonardo Molina

Hi everyone! My name is Leonardo Molina, and I’m running for Vice President Internal of the Warren College Student Council with the Rooted in Warren slate.

Warren has a strong community, and I want to help make sure our student government reflects that. As Vice President Internal, my focus is on helping WCSC stay organized, collaborative, and effective so we can better support the students we represent.

Our Rooted in Warren slate is centered on transparency, sustainability, and integration. That means making council processes clearer for students, supporting sustainable initiatives in Warren spaces and events, and strengthening connections between WCSC, student organizations, and the broader Warren community.

I’m committed to helping build a council that works together, communicates openly, and continues to grow alongside the Warren community. I’d be honored to serve as your Vice President Internal.

Vice President - External

  • Nadia Yellepeddi

    Nadia Yellepeddi

Hello Warren! My name is Nadia Yellepeddi, and I’m running for Vice President External because I believe in building a Warren community that is connected, empowered, and heard. Serving in this role means acting as your representative and ambassador to other student organizations, campus departments, and external partners to ensure Warren’s voice is present in every conversation.

Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of serving as your Vice President External, where I’ve worked with diverse groups, strengthened inter-college collaboration, and advocated for the needs of Warren students. Through this experience, I’ve learned how to communicate effectively, build meaningful partnerships, and turn ideas into action. These opportunities have prepared me to continue expanding outreach, increasing partnerships, and connecting Warren students with even more academic, professional, and social resources.

I am passionate about community engagement and committed to representing you with openness, energy, and inclusivity. I would be honored to continue serving you and strengthening Warren’s presence across campus.

Vice President - Programming

  • Natalie Solorio

    Natalie Solorio

Hello Warren! My name is Natalie Solorio, your current Vice President of Programming, and I’m excited to be running again to continue serving our college. Over the past year, helping organize programs has allowed me to meet so many of you and see how meaningful it is when our community comes together. Through our slate, Rooted in Warren, I hope to keep building a space where students feel connected, supported, and excited to be part of this community.

As Vice President of Programming, my goal is to create events that reflect your interests and make the most of your student fees. These programs are made possible by Warren students, so it’s important that the events we plan are ones you genuinely look forward to. I want to continue listening to your ideas, feedback, and suggestions so that our programming reflects what matters most to you.

Working with the Events Board this past year has given me valuable experience planning programs that bring people together. I’ve learned that great events are not just about the activity itself, but about creating welcoming spaces where students can relax, meet new people, and take a break from the demands of college life.

Looking ahead, I hope to expand the range of opportunities available so there is something for everyone. Warren is home to students with many different backgrounds and interests, and our programming should reflect that diversity.

By continuing to listen and create thoughtful programming, we can keep building a Warren that grows together! Vote Natalie Solorio for Vice President of Programming!

Finance Director

  • Elijah Cheng

    Elijah Cheng

Having been a member of Warren College Student Council for 3 years, I have realized that transparency is key when it comes to funding. With the rise of AS limiting student org resources and money flow to the student body, it is necessary to provide information and venues of funding for all. With Rooted in Warren, I will continue the work I have accomplished in my first term as Finance Chair, and continue to provide the transparency that this council needs.

Secretary

  • Lily Nagle

    Lily Nagle

Hello! My name is Lily Nagle, and I’m running for Secretary of the Warren College Student Council with the Rooted in Warren slate.

Warren has a special sense of community, and I want to help ensure our student government represents that community clearly and responsibly. As Secretary, my goal is to keep council operations organized and accessible so students can easily understand what their representatives are working on.

One of the most important aspects of the secretary role is transparency. By maintaining thorough meeting minutes, sharing updates consistently, and keeping accurate records of council actions, I will make sure Warren students can understand how decisions are made and how their council is serving them.

The Rooted in Warren slate is focused on sustainability and integration with the students we represent. I’m especially excited to help support sustainability efforts within Warren by documenting initiatives and ensuring that successful projects and ideas are preserved for future councils to build on.

Clear communication keeps a council accountable and connected to the students it represents. I would be grateful for the opportunity to contribute to that work as your Secretary.

Out-of-State Student at Large

  • Tyler Hijirida

    Tyler Hijirida

Hi Warren! I’m Tyler, and I currently serve as your Out-of-State Representative at Large and am running for reelection to continue pursuing my goal of making Warren a strong and inclusive environment. As someone not from California, I recognize the difficulties and challenges of adjusting to life at Warren and UC San Diego. From geographic confusion to finding a new community to navigating the complexity of being at a new school, I understand and have lived through these experiences. This is why I am committed to ensuring that students in Warren who are out-of-state can have their voices heard and feel supported during their time here. Together, we can strive to build a community where every student feels Rooted in Warren.”

International Student at Large

  • Jonas Goh

    Jonas Goh

I'm Jonas, and as a first year International Student from Malaysia, I am excited to run for the position of International Student at Large. Moving almost 9000 miles away from home to join and become Rooted in Warren has allowed me to understand and overcome the unique challenges, from navigating a new academic system to finding a sense of belonging completely from scratch, I believe that I am now equipped with the experience to represent international students across Warren.

My current position on the Warren College Student Council Events Board has given me a front row experience to how the student government functions and more importantly, how we can create a space that brings people together regardless of where they are from. I've had the privilege of experiencing first hand the responsibility and dedication this role requires from our current International Student at Large and want to continue to make sure that International student voices are heard and acknowledged in the decisions we make as a council.

    If elected, I will:

    • Act as a dedicated liaison to ensure that the specific needs of international students, regarding student housing, career resources, easy access to ISEO resources and even "Know Your Rights" clinics/events to ensure that all Warren international students are both proactive and protected during uncertain times.
    • Host inclusive multicultural events to celebrate our global backgrounds in order to bridge the gap between our diverse international community and the broader student body
    • Overall be a visible, approachable resource for all students navigating through a time similar to mine, providing a platform for concerns and ideas

I am committed and ready to represent and support the international community of Warren. Together with my peers, I will work to make sure every international student feels empowered and at home, transforming our community into a Warren that Grows Together.

Associated Students Senator (2)

  • Javier Luna

    Javier Luna

As Warren Senator I want to be representative of Warren's wonderful community. My goal is to make sure Warren students and all students on campus feel that their voice matters and is represented to Associated Students. Students are where innovation and a better campus begins. I will make sure that AS always operates in a way that has student interests at the front of its mind. I want to make sure that we take full advantage of the ideas of students in order to make Warren as wonderful of a community as we can. I also hope to help strengthen the bond between AS and students in the other direction. I hope to increase transparency and accountability by openly communicating to the students the work that is being done with their student fees and by allowing students to voice their opinion on the work being done to ensure that everyone’s experience on campus is being improved.
  • Daniel Sitanggang

    Daniel Sitanggang

    Accountability, Responsibility and Transparency:

My Service To You will continue to be guided by these virtues. Your student governments are responsible for MILLIONS OF DOLLARS of YOUR MONEY. You should have some idea of what it pays for, because a lot of it is getting spent each year!

As your student governments, the Associated Students (AS) and the Warren College Student Council (WCSC) are supposed to faithfully advocate for you, and to ensure that your interests as students are zealously looked after.

BUT, how can any government of these kinds truly act for the interests of those who they serve if there are no mechanisms for accountability, responsibility and transparency?

Accountability does not only exist at the ballot box, it must continuously exist within an institution. It means that everyone, regardless of position, must answer to someone, and that at the end of the day, everyone answers to the electorate.

Responsibility should always guide the decision-making process. It means that someone in a position of authority must work to deliver what they reasonably consider the best result for the people they serve. In many ways, it relies on a sense of duty that must set aside selfishness.

Transparency is the underlying element that allows for Accountability and Responsibility to flourish. Without transparency, there’s little incentive to hold people accountable or to act in a responsible manner. In an age with social media, it’s easy to imagine that things could not be more transparent. It’s easy to be transparent, but it falls to people within institutions to ensure that transparency happens.

Through the Constitutional Reforms I worked to pass this term, we have a foundation on which we can make Accountability, Responsibility, and Transparency come to life. However, just because we’ve taken one step in the right direction, does not mean we need to walk no further.

I’ll keep pushing for you to know more about what your student government is up to, and to give more avenues for you to hold us accountable when we fall short

Furthermore, I will continue to be a strong advocate for the student organizations that form the backbone of our campus community. In doing so, I hope that we will be able to provide even more opportunities to deserving students, so that the door to success will always be open.

With you on board, WE can make A WARREN THAT ROOTS FOR YOU.
