President

  • Saanvi Tiwari

    Saanvi Tiwari

Hello SeVIIes! My name is Saanvi Tiwari(she/her) and I am running to be your President of 7CSC! Through my two years of involvement, first as an Events Board Member and now as Director of Events, I have gained profound experience in being an advocate for our student body. As President, I aim to bring accessibility to the council, accountability for those involved in all our student governments, and representation for all Seventh College Students!

As Director of Events this past year, I had the chance to be the only underclassmen student on the Executive Board. This gave me the opportunity to understand what is needed to be a strong leader for our Executive team and student council as a whole. I have gained insight on how to best advocate for Seventh College in larger discussions in Associated Students, manage our budget(which is directly funded by your student fees), and oversee councilmember projects to ensure that programs are always beneficial to students. In my role as Director of Events, I regularly plan events that appeal to all Seventh College students, ranging from our annual holiday events to larger trips and programs. Planning these events have helped me gain strong organization and execution skills. Beyond this, I consistently collaborate with other college councils and student organizations, improving our relationship with various campus partners.

If elected as President, I plan to reach my goals in the following ways:

    • Accessibility: Improve the outreach of council members, ensuring that they are not only using an online format but actually interacting with the constituents they represent.
    • Accountability: Advocate for Seventh College in AS through joining various committees and consulting councilmembers when important discussions are brought up.
    • Representation: Be sure to hear the voices of every student at Seventh through active interaction with students and showing up for students when needed.

I strive to utilize the skills I have gained through my two years on council to serve as a strong President, making Seventh College the best it can be for students!

Vice President Internal

  • Siddharth Bailkeri

    Siddharth Bailkeri

Hi SeVIIes! My name is Siddharth Bailkeri (he/him) and I'm running for Vice President Internal for Seventh College Student Council.

This past year I have served as Seventh's International Student Advocate, where I organized programming like Everything Bagels (All at Once) — a movie screening highlighting the first-generation experience— and created a resource post about Interstride, UCSD's new career platform for international students. Through this, I worked extensively with internal committee and developed strong skills in teamwork, collaboration, and ensuring council runs smoothly.

As a GAP mentor this past summer, I mentored incoming international students and worked with students from diverse backgrounds. Supporting new students strengthened my commitment to ensure Seventh College is a place where everyone feels at home — something we achieve through thoughtful, cohesive programming. Outside of these, I also volunteer in a research lab on campus where I've developed an organized and collaborative approach to problem-solving that I will bring to my position as VPI.

Being part of Seventh has shown me how strong our community is when students feel heard and supported. As Vice President Internal, I want to support my fellow council members in our shared goal of bringing Seventh students together and building a meaningful community. I plan to strengthen internal collaboration by implementing short post-event reflections so committee members can share lessons from events to make future programming even stronger. As chair of rules committee, I will also work to establish a transparent rule review process so council policies remain clear, fair, and effective.

I would be honored to continue serving the Seventh community as your VPI! Thank you!

  • Elia Reinholz

    Elia Reinholz

Hi Seventh! I'm Elia Reinholz (he/him), and I'm putting myself forward to be your next Vice President Internal. I'm really passionate about making sure our student council runs efficiently behind the scenes, because I have seen how so many of the decisions made in council affect everyone.

This past year, I was the Vice Chair of the Judicial Board. I handled council discipline and ensured that members knew the responsibilities of representing the student body. It has been a great opportunity to get involved in making sure our council operates in a way that is organized, fair, and consistent. I've personally witnessed how much better things operate when everyone feels supported and clearly understands their responsibilities.

My time on the rules committee has also given me the chance to analyze and revise the documents that guide the council. I’ve learned how to navigate these documents with clarity, think carefully about their structure, and communicate the ideas I have with the rest of the rules committee, a skillset I believe to be essential for the Vice President Internal.

If elected, I aim to make your council more connected, both internally with council members and with the rest of the student body. I plan to make our meetings more structured, purposeful, and efficient. I want to ensure that members of council always know what’s happening and how they can apply what they learn to their role in council. I also want students to feel comfortable and invited to the council. Oftentimes, the student government and the student body can feel disconnected from each other, when in reality these two entities should work together. I’m committed to creating a council that feels easy to approach, values student input, and takes initiative.

My goal with the council is simple: To create a council that is organized, friendly, and caring to the wonderful student body it serves, and I’m ready to make this happen through my experiences and commitment.

  • Kshitij Uddagatti

    Kshitij Uddagatti

Hello, I am Kshitij Uddagatti, and I am running for 7CSC Vice-President of Internals because I want the events to be engaging and the rules to be just. As a student at UCSD, I understand the socially dead rumors, and I believe that we need to market our events better, and I will do just that. By not just working with the council members to bring their initiatives to light, but also with events and spirit directors, I believe we can host big events to bring not just the Seventh, but also other colleges in UCSD together. By reaching out, offering feedback, and helping propagate their events through social media, I know that individual council members will be able to host larger events that target the community as a whole.

My role isn’t limited to managing logistics for events, but also to implementing rules and regulations within 7CSC. I believe by introducing amendments to specific legislation within the student council, we could be more inviting and hold open-forum meetings to listen to community complaints and actually shape proposals and events to address them. I strongly believe that feedback is the best way to learn, whether that is through issues in events or community grievances that have gone unresolved; as a member of the council, we can always do better. So if you feel as if your voices haven’t been heard, or if you just want more explosive events, vote for me, Kshitij Uddagatti.

Vice President External

  • Erika Yu

    Erika Yu

Hi! I’m Erika, and I am excited to be your next Vice President External. I have been involved in council since my freshman year, first as the Student Health & Well-Being Representative and, for the past two years, as your AS Senator. In these roles, I created the UCSD Resource Guide to help students easily access campus support services, hosted food and clothing distribution events, and am currently organizing the first on-campus health fair for students. I have also collaborated with a variety of on- and off-campus organizations to expand partnerships. With three years of experience building an inclusive community through 7CSC, I am committed to supporting our external committee representatives in their initiatives, strengthening on-campus partnerships, and ensuring Seviies have access to the support they need!

Director of Events

  • Abigail Larsen

    Abigail Larsen

Hi SeVIIes! My name is Abigail (she/her) and I am so excited to run for Seventh College’s Director of Events. Ever since attending Welcome Week as a freshman, I understood how important events are in cultivating a positive, welcoming Seventh College community. It was at these events where I made my first connections and felt part of a bigger collective; since joining Seventh College Student Council as a Spirit Board member I have strived to create an environment where students can have this same experience. In my role, I have helped execute several events, including Spirit Week, our annual trip to the Padres game, Seventh Sweet Treats, and many more! Additionally, I have collaborated with Events Board as a volunteer for the Seventh College Carnival and Semi-Formal.

I have been involved in all steps of the event-running process—from the initial brainstorming sessions, to budgeting, advertising, and the set-up, running, and taking down of events. Having been in this role—and council—for two years, I believe that I am well-equipped to take on a director position. Not only do I have many ideas for events—from beach clean-ups, to finals week de-stress study jams, to crafting and karaoke—but I also have the experience, background, and practicality to kn ow how to execute these ideas. Furthermore, being a Senior Orientation Leader for the last two years has given me the leadership and collaboration skills necessary to direct and work alongside a group of board members, and it has also allowed me to interact with nearly every incoming SeVIIe, which has given me a thorough understanding of our college culture.

As Director of Events, I strive to coordinate events that are relevant to our college community and our college’s mission, providing experiences and resources that allow every SeVIIe to feel like a valued and appreciated member of Seventh. I will create events that appeal to every student, even those who feel their voices are not always heard—our transfers, commuters, and even students living in other colleges. I will gather feedback and opinions from my fellow SeVIIes and combine their perspective with the creativity of myself and my future board members to create events that represent student needs and, of course, are fun! Regardless of where you live and when you came to UCSD, every SeVIIe is a key part of our community, and I will swear to create events that appeal to all.

Treasurer

  • James Cantrell

    James Cantrell

    Hi Seventh,

My name is James Cantrell (he/him), and I’m running for Treasurer because I believe student government should be transparent, organized, and accountable to the students it serves.

For the past two years, I’ve served on Seventh College Council, first as your First-Year Representative and this year as Sustainability Advocate. In both roles, I’ve seen how funding decisions directly shape our college experience. The events we attend, the initiatives we support, and the programs we grow all depend on thoughtful and responsible budgeting.

As Treasurer, my top priority will be transparency. Students deserve to know how their student fees are being used. If elected, I will work to publish our budget in a clear and accessible format on the Seventh College Student Council website. Making our financial information easy to find and understand will strengthen trust between council and the broader Seventh community.

Beyond transparency, I bring two years of institutional knowledge and collaborative experience. I understand how council operates, how funding requests move through the system, and how important it is to ensure fairness and consistency in every allocation decision. My goal is to support impactful, inclusive programming while maintaining responsible stewardship of our funds.

My priorities as Treasurer will be:

    • Clear, accessible budget reporting on the Seventh College Student Council website.
    • Fair and consistent funding processes.
    • Strategic allocation of funds toward initiatives that benefit our entire community.

Seventh deserves financial leadership that is steady, transparent, and student-focused. I would be honored to continue serving our community in this role.

    Thank you!

Secretary

  • Alexis Gonzalez

    Alexis Gonzalez

Hello Seventh College SeVIIes! My name is Alexis Gonzalez (She/Her), and I am thrilled to be running for Secretary this year! Throughout my time as a Seventh College student, I have learned and grown so much since the moment I first set foot in Seventh! From participating in Orientation to later becoming a returning Orientation Leader, and currently serving as the Transportation Representative for 7CSC, each experience has helped me develop leadership, communication, and organizational skills that strengthened my connection to Seventh! These roles have allowed me to see firsthand the dedication and effort that goes into supporting students and improving campus life.

As Secretary, I plan to extend my knowledge of organization, documentation, and data keeping to help maintain the productivity, clarity, and efficiency of our Student Council. I am committed to ensuring that meeting notes, records, and important updates are accurately documented and accessible so that our council can continue to operate smoothly and transparently, just as it has done in the past!

Last but not quite the least, I hope to highlight and promote the incredible work that 7CSC has done behind the scenes. So much effort goes into planning initiatives, advocating for students, and improving our college experience, and I want to help make sure that work is recognized and communicated clearly to all of our SeVIIes!

It would be an honor to serve as your Secretary and continue contributing to the Seventh College Community that has given me so many opportunities to grow. Thank you so much!

Associated Students Senator (2)

  • Kailey Le

    Kailey Le

My name is Kailey Le, and I am honored to be a candidate for the Senator position for Seventh College Council. I’m an Economics major from Arizona. I currently serve as an Event and Initiatives Committee Member for the 7th Resident Council, and I’m interning for Mike Levin, our 49th District Representative.

Growing up as the daughter of working immigrant parents, standing up for myself was nearly impossible because of my limited power in my voice and outreach. All the injustices I have experienced and seen through social media have further motivated me to step into the political space. After several leadership roles in high school, such as being the President of Girl Up and my Asian Student Union, I reshaped my sense of self while empowering other students in my community to use their voices, celebrate diversity, and participate in crucial inclusive initiatives. Particularly, as Girl Up President, I made three-course home-cooked meals for a local domestic violence shelter that helped feed over 20 women. Seeing firsthand underprivileged groups sparked my political activism journey.

By serving as an active member of the Seventh College community, I help plan and volunteer at community bonding events to foster culture and bring people together in a variety of ways, and I have developed skills in community outreach, teamwork, and public speaking by working with other members to facilitate successful events. Additionally, by interning for Mike Levin, I am learning hands-on experience with voter outreach, electoral politics, and messaging. Through this internship, I witnessed the behind-the-scenes of a political campaign while engaging with crucial political leaders in the San Diego Area, while interacting with our district voters.

As the Seventh Senator, my primary goals are to focus on supporting student organizations, ensuring student concerns are communicated clearly, and providing meaningful resources to residents. I want to represent the needs of the Seventh community by listening to feedback and providing opportunities to improve their college experience.

Thank you for considering my candidacy. I am excited about the opportunity to serve as a senator and work with 7CSC and AS towards a better future. I look forward to the possibility of contributing my expertise and perspective towards our shared passion for success. Thank you for your time and consideration.
